And if you've died a dozen times with the stickman in other Vex games, Vex 10 will feel both old and new. But this time the creators go much bigger. It's still a platformer that needs quick hands and sharp eyes.
In some stages, you have to control more than one Vex character at the same time, and the ceiling turns into a running track. You don't have to download or install anything to play. Just open the page.

More than anything else, the game no longer only lets you look forward. Watch the space above your head, below your feet, and anywhere else that doesn't look right. The rules change with each Act, so just when you think you know them, you have to start all over again. That's the Vex flavour: it's both irritating and addicting.
It's okay to die the first time. Use it as a practice run to learn where the traps are.
Don't stay still for long when there are unseen traps around. Move slowly and watch out for gaps that don't make sense.
When things look bleak, crouching or sliding at the right time can often save you.
Play for short amounts of time. Take a five-minute break, and then come back to the part that was hard for you yesterday.
There is a new mode that is also the hardest. On the same button rhythm, you control more than one Vex character at the same time. Each character faces a different set of traps. Hand-eye coordination is more important than speed because the whole stage has to start over if one figure makes a mistake. First finish the normal Acts, then try this mode.
Many of the same ideas are in Vex 10, but there are also some new ones that keep it from getting old. Open the game and play the first few Acts if you want a short but challenging game.
